Summary
| Description | 330-PSA-254-60 (164496 AC): Amy, one of the three black mice is shown. She is wearing a tiny “mouse-mitter,” a radio transmitter weighing less than one ounce on her back. This device transmitted information to ground stations along the flight path on her heartbeat, respiration, and muscular movements. The mice will be closely observed to determine the effects of radiation which they encountered during the more than 700 mile high jaunt through space, October 13, 1960. (9/9/2015). |
