Summary
DescriptionESTCube-LuNa Attitude and Navigation.jpg
English: Novel attitude sensors and actuators of the ESTCube-LuNa concept. The four corners of the cubesat shown on the right are occupied with a total of eight thrusters. The illustration shows a corner with two miniature electric thrusters by TU Dresden for attitude control. The two cubesat tuna cans shown are used to host four 120° field-of-view navigation cameras, and one is placed on the other side of the cubesat, next to the tether deployment opening. With five cameras, the Triangulated Celestial Navigation, or TCN, system will have nearly full sky coverage with only minor blindspots introduced by deployables. The illustration shows one Crystalspace “Kikas” (CAM1U) camera for TCN.
