British English: Grandson of Guyanese historian, novelist, botanist, anthropologist and curator James Rodway. Educator at national institutions Berbice High School and Queens College, Rodway was also Education Officer and Inspector of Schools on the Caribbean island of St.Lucia for a time.
The James Rodway Memorial Prize was established in St.Lucia in his honour by Nobel Prize winner, Sir Derek Walcott. |
