Description
English: STS-34 crewmembers, wearing launch and entry suits (LESs), prepare for emergency egress training at KSC's shuttle landing facility (SLF) prior to terminal countdown demonstration test (TCDT) activities. The crewmembers stand next to their personal egress air packs (PEAPs) before training begins. Crewmembers are (left to right) Pilot Michael J. McCulley, Mission Specialist (MS) Franklin R. Chang-Diaz, MS Ellen S. Baker, MS Shannon W. Lucid, and Commander Donald E. Williams. In the background are a transportation van and the SLF mate demate facility.
