Summary

Description
English: During the Trans-Lunar Coast phase of an Apollo lunar landing mission, four abort modes are specified, with different thrust options. The Service Propulsion System (SPS) engine is identified as primary, with the Lunar Module Descent Propulsion System (LM DPS) being available as optional or backup. The much weaker Service Module Reaction Control System (SM RCS) is available with only marginal capability on all modes but the Direct Abort. See text at [1]
