Description
English: Dr. William K. Douglas, personal flight surgeon to the Mercury Astronauts, applies body sensors to Astronaut Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom in preparation for the Mercury-Redstone 4 manned space flight. The launch, second in NASA's manned space flight program, was postponed because of bad weather in the launch area and eventually took place on July 21, 1961.
