English: The women who comprise the Artemis launch team are photographed inside Firing Room 1 of the Launch Control Center at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday, March 15, 2024. In the second row center behind the Artemis banner is NASA’s first female Launch Director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson. The team, which is about 30% women, will launch the agency’s Artemis II mission from Kennedy’s Launch Pad 39B, the first crewed mission on NASA's path to establishing a long-term presence at the Moon for science and exploration through Artemis.
